Suchen Ding (2023)

Suchen graduated from Wuhan University with a bachelor’s degree in Chinese language and literature. Her research background includes literary studies, cultural studies, and cinema studies. After one year of exploring at Duke, she is currently intrigued by the interdisciplinary practices of cultural anthropology and culture studies. Topics she wants to pursue in the future: digital labor, affect theory, queer theory, and the notion of precarity in a broad context of neoliberalism. Outside academia, she is also passionate about nonfiction writing, films, rock music, and working out.
