"Upon graduating from Duke in 2010, I completed a fellowship at the Center for Arabic Study Abroad (CASA) in Cairo that happened to coincide with the 2011 mass uprising in Egypt. Afterwards, I enrolled in the Department of Near Eastern Studies at Cornell University where I earned my Ph.D. in 2017. Currently, I am serving as a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in Middle Eastern Studies at Dartmouth College."
"My studies in AMES kindled a life-long interest in the Middle East and prepared me to travel, live, and work in the region. For all of these reasons, my time at AMES has been indispensable to my personal and professional trajectories."
