Developing Japanese proficiency through contemporary media. Course materials include daily news articles, video clips, manga, anime videos, as well as essays and videos on Japanese folktales. Activities include news reporting, narrative reconstruction, and storytelling based on authentic materials. Emphasis on vocabulary expansion, discourse strategies, and cultural understanding. Conducted entirely in Japanese.
