Focus on grammar, systematic sentence analysis, and distinctive functions of grammatical particles. A gateway to advanced literary reading and writing (shu-mian-yu). Enhancement of knowledge of classical literature, philosophy, and history. Recommend consultation with instructor before enrolling in course. Prerequisite: Chinese 333 or Chinese 407S.
