Yishu is a literature student who has a long-term living experience in Shanghai. She concentrates on Modern Chinese literature and various categories of media studies. Yishu previously worked as a Chinese Language and Literature undergraduate and has recently completed her MA study in Comparative Literature at University College London (UCL). She speaks Mandarin, English, French and Shanghainese, and works hard on learning Cantonese and Japanese. She is crazy about Eileen Chang, trying to translate her masterpieces into different languages and always bringing the Romance traveling with her. Yishu also has great passion for Hong Kong films, intellectual histories, and the study of contemporary issues on Chinese migrants, and Yoga! Therefore, she is interdisciplinary.
