"I entered the Undergraduate Admissions Office the summer after I graduated from Duke. My AMES background has given me a greater cultural appreciation for the students I work with and a better understanding of the variety of interests needed to craft a diverse and healthy class. Through my work, I often draw on the communication skills developed by studying a language in depth, and I daily use the cultural sensitivity skills developed by studying Middle Eastern cultures and histories."
