Undergraduate Course Enrollment
• Courses below the 500 level may not be applied toward
your GPA or the required credits needed for your degree.
• With the approval of the DGS and the associate dean for
academic affairs, you may enroll in lower-level courses,
but these courses will not be counted toward any
graduation requirement or GPA calculation.
Application to enroll in a course below the 500 level
• Full-time enrollment in graduate-level coursework (9
credits) is required for approval to add a course below 500
level.
• You can take undergraduate courses as graduate level
courses with the permission of the instructor. The course
will be designated as an Independent Study course. You
will have to do additional work. Notify the DGSA if you hope
to upgrade a certain course to graduate level.
