MA Shih-Fang 馬世芳
Ma Shih-Fang is a broadcaster, writer, and television host. He graduated from the Department of Chinese Literature at National Taiwan University. Ma started his career as a radio DJ in 1989, immediately after graduating from high school at the age of 18. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, he is widely recognized as the best radio DJ in the Chinese-speaking world. He has won six Broadcast Golden Bell Awards, including three Best Popular Music Program Awards and three Best DJ Awards.
Aside from his work as a DJ, Ma is a highly prolific writer, editor, and translator. He co-translated the Chinese edition of Lennon Remembers: The 1970 Rolling Stone Interview by Jann S. Wenner and was the chief editor and one of the translators of The Lyrics: 1961-2012 (Traditional Chinese edition) by Bob Dylan. He has authored four books that provide in-depth and personal accounts of rock, pop, blues, folk, and the history of Taiwanese/Chinese pop music. His first book, Subterranean Homesick Blues (地下鄉愁藍調), was nominated for a Golden Tripod Award and was awarded one of "The Best Books from Taiwan" at the Taipei International Book Exhibition in 2008. His third book, Lend Me Your Ears (耳朵借我), won the China Times Kaijuan Good Book Award (中時開卷好書獎).
While studying at National Taiwan University, Ma co-edited the highly influential book 100 Best Albums of Taiwanese Pop Music, 1975-1992, and its follow-up, 200 Best Albums of Taiwanese Pop Music, 1975-2005.
Since 2011, Ma has been teaching the history of pop music at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, as well as at Taipei National University of the Arts.
馬世芳是廣播人、作家、電視節目主持人。台灣大學中國文學系畢業。大學時代開始廣播生涯，深入引介流行音樂三十餘年，曾獲六座廣播金鐘獎，包括三座「最佳流行音樂節目獎」、三座「最佳流行音樂節目主持人獎」。
大學時代在學生社團「台大人文報社」發起《台灣流行音樂百張最佳專輯》編輯企劃，成為樂史重要文獻。1995年主編《永遠的未央歌：現代民歌/校園歌曲20年紀念冊》（滾石），2015年主編《民歌四十時空地圖》。2009年延伸先前企劃，統籌編輯《1975-2005台灣流行音樂200最佳專輯》（時報出版）。
2004年合譯《藍儂回憶》（滾石文化），2006年出版散文輯《地下鄉愁藍調》（時報出版），獲聯合報「讀書人年度最佳書獎」，提名金鼎獎「最佳文學語文類圖書獎」。2010年出版散文集《昨日書》，2014年出版散文輯《歌物件》、《耳朵借我》，後者獲選「開卷年度十大好書」（皆新經典文化出版）。
2019年主編並參與翻譯《巴布‧狄倫歌詩集》（大塊出版）。
2015年起在中國「看理想」平台主持網路音樂節目「聽說」，2017年與陶傳正共同主持公視「閃亮的年代」，獲電視金鐘獎綜藝節目獎，2019主持公視「音樂萬萬歲第四號作品」，入圍電視金鐘綜藝節目主持人獎。
2011年起在台灣科技大學任教「文藝發展與流行音樂文化」，現為副教授級專家。亦曾參與台北藝術大學「IMPACT學程」講授「搖滾音樂史」。
