Heyu graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Peking University in 2024 with dual degrees of B.A. in Chinese Language and Literature. Her dissertation examines Lu Ling(路翎)’s literary works on the Korean War and their relationship with Socialist Realism, Hu Feng(胡风)’s literary theories and the policies of PRC in the 1950s. Her research interests lie in modern and contemporary Chinese literature, Hong Kong literature, modern Chinese poetry, contemporary Chinese cultures and gender studies. She is also a poet and a passionate fangirl who frequently produces fan fiction.
