Qionglin Lou graduated from Duke University with an M.A. in CAH, and formerly graduated from Suzhou University with a B.A. in Chinese Language and Literature. She is mainly interested in queer theory, gender studies, modern Chinese film and literature. Her graduate thesis “An Invisible Conundrum: Visualizing ‘Queer Immobility’ in the Contemporary PRC” focuses on the multifaceted conundrum of Chinese queer subjects through visualizing the immobilized psychological and geographical space.
