Yuan graduated from University of California, Irvine with a B.A. degree in East Asian Studies and Philosophy. Socrates is her favorite philosopher. She is mainly interested in the studies of Japanese popular culture and gender studies now. In her spare time, she enjoys watching anime, reading novels, and listening to music.
