Yue graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen in 2022 with a B.A. in Translation and was once an exchange student at Sungkyunkwan University, majoring in Film, Television, and Multimedia. Her research interests lie in subcultural studies, visual culture, and gender studies. During her future study at Duke, Yue expects to explore East Asian sequential arts and moving images, focusing on narrativity and visual representations that resonate with cultural, historical, philosophical, and theological traditions. In her spare time, she is keen on drawing ugly pics, cooking terrible foods, and daydreaming when strolling.
